Coconut Grove is a lush tropical oasis, tucked away from Miami's city life. Many locals and visitors escape to this laid back neighborhood to stroll along it's picturesque streets filled with quirky boutiques and bustling sidewalk cafes.
Nestled along the streets of "The Grove" is one of our favorite venues filled with old-world character. If you take a look behind it's majestic doors, you'll understand why our elite bride & groom chose the Cruz Building as their wedding venue.

Amy & Barry radiate with happiness no matter where they go. However, there was an extra sparkle in their smiles as they danced the night away with the Debbie Taylor Band at the historical DuPont Building. The venue, a former bank headquarters, is a cross between Miami's art deco & New York's glitz and glamour. It's marble floors, brass accents, teller windows, and bank vaults make this spot one of a kind and a timeless favorite!

This bride & groom were so excited to walk down the aisle, that they were practically running! Awaiting them was a pristine, white-sand beach and one of the most stunning chuppahs we've ever seen.

Love is in the air and we are embracing the cliché of Valentine's Day with this adorable engagement!
A few months ago, my brother decided to pop the question to his longtime girlfriend. Knowing how much she adores gardens, my brother wanted to propose to her in a romantic garden setting. Naturally, I could not resist helping out, so I invited my soon to be sister-in-law to visit a "potential wedding venue" for my own upcoming nuptials. (Mind you, I have not even decided on a wedding date... I am still letting my own engagement bliss sink in!)
She had no idea that this day was about to be all about her! The proposal was everything my brother had hoped it to be. She was completely surprised and of course she said yes! She was even more excited to know that I had photographers following her every move and capturing the entire scheme. After the proposal, the newly engaged duo had an engagement shoot. The reaction couldn't be more perfect! Thank you Martha, from Unique Design Studios , for being such a sneaky and amazing photographer!

We are finally in 2016! At Elite Planning Firm we are in full swing, working on our upcoming Spring nuptials. When we think about Spring, we instantly think back to Lauren & Xavi's Spring 2014 wedding. You may have already seen their special day featured on Borrowed & Blue. If you haven't yet, you can learn how this picture perfect duo met here. Thanks to the talented Robert Chamorro at Kane and Social, we get to relive this couple's special day with these breathtaking photos.

For this Victorian inspired wedding, the gardens and fountains at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens made it the perfect venue.
The lovely bride wore her hair and make-up in traditional Victorian fashion, created by Dalili of Sissi Hair and Isa of Make-up & The City. She walked down the isle in her “Midnight” lace gown by Claire Pettibone, holding on to her beautiful bouquet. Jordan added a personalized and heartwarming touch to her bouquet with hanging photo charms of beloved family members.
Her bridal party wore delicate ash-blue dresses and substituted the traditional flower bouquets for vintage hand mirrors, which we absolutely adored! Also dressed in their best, the groom and the groomsmen looked extremely dapper in their matching slate-blue tuxedos and camel colored shoes.
Since the Victorian era was a very sophisticated time filled with elaborate ornamentations, the décor was filled with fine china, bright floral arrangements, and aged metallic accents. We love how Distinctive Details included dainty candle holders, vintage mirrors and delicate lace to create breathtaking tablescapes. Lighting provided by Event Factor made all the difference because those centerpieces were glowing!
The cake, designed by Elegant Temptations, was elegant indeed and majestic with rich gold accents and crowned with soft florals. Also, let's not forget the mouth watering and one-of-a kind menu that Thierry's Catering designed for this foodie couple.
The unique design of this wedding definitely made it one of our favorites and every beautiful detail was captured by PS Photography.

Weddings are all about love, family, and traditions, so what better way to embrace the term "old & borrowed," than by making a tribute to your family on your special day. Not only are you personalizing your celebration, but you are also creating an intimate and heart-warming experience for all.
